CARRIE PRESTON IN ROMONA KEVEZA
There’s nothing special about this dress in general but when you pair it with the right person, it transforms to a Best Dressed candidate. The tailoring and the color of the dress works wonders with Carrie making her looking absolutely gorgeous! I picture this more of an Amy Adams type of style but apparently others can rock this as well.
For some reason the youngsters and the elders tend to not dress in something that flatters their age and it frustrates me! Well the elders should look at this lovely woman right here because she nailed it! When you’ve reached the golden age and look it, it’s not shameful to wear a dress that matches those factors. This look is perfect for her because it screams glamorous and flashy in a very classy way with the assistance of a gorgeous printed cover up! What a unique idea! I’m obsessed with this cover up!
EMILIA CLARKE IN DONNA KARAN ATELIER
The lovely Game of Thrones actress wearing something that’s very much like an outfit the Khaleesi would wear. I can’t help but to fangirl over how divine she looks even when she’s out of character. She typically has good fashion taste but this one takes the cake! But then again, when is she not gorgeous.
JULIANNE HOUGH IN JENNY PACKHAM
The adorable and sweet Julianne Hough is trying out a different, risky side with this slightly transparent gown. I love it! Her dress reminds me of all things magical like the starry sky or the glittery lake waters under the moonlight. Beyond gorgeous!
KERRY WASHINGTON IN MARCHESA
The belle of the ball would have to be this lovely lady! The color is perfect against her deep skin and the hair is everything beautiful. Even the clutch is beyond alluring. (I usually don’t care too much for them but now I do) Adorned in the gorgeous florals from boobs to bottom, it is safe to say that the flowers are what made this look exciting! It’s like she is Aphrodite herself because flowers are blooming everywhere she walks.
LAURA DERN IN NAEEM KHAN
Texture and color is popping all over this look. The contrast between her soft, romantic hair and the electrifying dress is a great twist to the usual Emmy’s red carpet attire. Props for her for going outside the box and doing it so well.
LINA CARDINELLI IN DONNA KARAN ATELIER
The structure of the dress reminds me of the bride on top of an expensive wedding cake (if the dress was white). All those swirls and twists look so yummy and elegant. Yes it is a rather odd description of it but it works right? And for that she made it to my Best Dressed list.
MICHELLE DOCKERY IN PRADA
This gown is all sorts of classy and sassy I can explode! #fashionistaproblems. It is a brilliant approach of showcasing a vintage, suburban house wife in a modern way with the little peek of the toes in front.
MINDY KALING IN GEORGE CHAKRA
I am amazed at how many gowns are not properly tailored to the celebrities especially in such an important event like the Emmy’s. Fortunately, Mindy does not have that drama because this dress fits perfectly on her. I love how it compliments her curvy figure. A great minimalist gown with a little bold sparkle on top.
MORENA BASCCARIN IN ALEXANDER MCQUEEN
Gorgeous, fashionable mother. I typically don’t go for this sort of drapey gown because it’s too simple. However with the right bling bling and baby bump, it all works out just fine. Doesn’t she look divine? All she needs now is a silver crown to match her accessories because her looks is fit for royalty!
ZOOEY DESHCHANEL IN J.MENDEL
I love everything about this look except for the stiff bottom which pretty much completely destroys the elegance of it all. Why oh why did you have such an ugly, amateur-looking cut?! It frustrates me to no end because everything else is PERFECT! I will give her an honorable mention though because from waist up, she looks like a million bucks (or more. idk how rich she is these days)
